iDive - import to Final Cut Pro X doesn't work
Hi there,
I have downloaded the trial version of iDive and it looks fantastic. However, whether or not I purchase will depend on my ability to export from iDive to FCP X. So far, the in-built function doesn't work. FCPX does not allow me to open the XML file generated by iDive - the file is greyed out within the import-xml menu.
I believe this is because the document should be in a different format (with the codec= .fcpxml). I have found some software that will convert XML (the version supported by earlier versions of FC, i.e. FCP 7.x) to fcpxml - but they don't offer a trial product so I'm committing to a $9.95 investment without any guarantee it will work. This is the product - http://assistedediting.intelligentassistance.com/7toX/
Are you able to advise if there is an alternative workaround within iDive, or if you can run some tests using the product mentioned above?
The ability to be able to export XML from iDive to FCP is critical.
Thanks
